One of my favorite parts of being in a community is helping others. Working together for a main goal or project is very rewarding, and when I’m able to put effort towards a community, that feeling is even greater.
^ This was at Science Night at our local K-8, and members from our robotics team set up a table were we introduced robotics to elementary school kids. We launched artifacts and talked about what it’s like to be in a national robotics team.
^ Volunteering for First Lego League was a very fun day of making sure student’s robots passed inspection and helping reset the field after each match.
^Volunteering at my first SAME Rebuilding Together event was a new and exciting experience. Helping renovate someone’s house by digging post holes, mixing concrete and leveling ground was a great way to spend a day helping my community.
